Barter"Barter" is an appropriate title for the poem by Sara Teasdale as she says life's beauty is worth any cost. She says in the first two stanzas what life has to offer, the things she lists such as waves crashing onto a cliff, music, and children's smiles are free however. She says in the last stanza, that a year of torture is worth a minute of joy, which is a way to say that people must give up their time to work and provide for their basic needs so that they have time for pleasure. She is also suggesting that people should scrimp to be able to go to "music like a curve of gold", which would be a concert of some sort.Some of the other things shBarter

DBQ sports.Sports played an influential role in European society between 1860 and 1940, as they helped national pride along with aiding individual people and groups. These opinions helped shape the modern world, as the modern world has an obsession with sports, and people at one point, viewed sports as wholesome and creating a state of general eucrasia. There were doubts though, with concerns over people watching sports as opposed to skirring across the field playing them.
